Steve went home today from the hospital. Lets all continue to hold Steve and Becky up in prayer.

I spoke with Steve this morning, he is still having a few problems, keep praying for these minor complications. The doctors are not surprised nor overwhelmed by them, but they are keeping him in the hospital.
Steve is upbeat, looks great and says he knows God is working and appreciates everyone’s prayers.
Eph 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Steve continues to recover well in Renown Medical center in Reno. He feels good and the doctors and physical therapist are very pleased with his progress.
Today Suzanne and I visited Steve and Becky we walked around the hospital floor and Steve went up and down a flight of stairs. His oxygen levels are good and his appetite is good.
Continue to pray for his healing, he has had a small setback with some of his normal body functions not quite working right, so a release date from the hospital has not been set as of this morning.
1 Peter 5:10-11 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Steve continues his good recovery from surgery. I know so many of you want go and visit Steve but he is still in ICU so visiting him is not an option. The Doctors continue to be very positive about his progress and long term recovery. They are hoping to have him out of ICU and in a regular room by this evening.
The rest of the family, Nathan and Jessica, are in Reno and Bryan and Steve will be leaving today. Becky and Steve both are thankful for all your prayers and support, keep praying. There will be many opportunities to visit and minister to them after Steve is out of the hospital as he will need a lot of help around the home.
1 Peter 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
We talked with Becky this morning. Steve is doing very well. He is sitting up, and eating crackers, and drinking water. The Doctors are very pleased with his progress so far.
He will be in the hospital about 5-7 days then his full recovery will be several months. It is Steve and Becky’s wishes that we all hold off on visitations and calls for a few days as he is still in intensive care. If you want to send good wishes, prayers, scriptures at this time, feel free to post a comment here on this blog site and I will print them out and take them up to Steve.
Keep praying for a full recovery, there will be plenty of opportunities to bless the Stockwells after Steve is home as he will be limited in his physical activities.

Steve underwent triple bypass surgery Sunday September 16th. As of this post, he is in Renown Medical center in Reno recovering well from his surgery.
As most of you know, Steve Stockwell, one of our faithful elders at High Sierra Fellowship, suffered a mild heart attack Saturday evening. He went to the ER around 10:00pm that evening and was sent to Barton Hospital at Tahoe later that night. After test showed that he had suffered a heart attack he was care flighted to Reno where he underwent a 3 ½ hr surgery.
The doctor was very pleased with the surgery, but we need to continue to pray for his healing and recovery. With God’s grace Steve should be able to have visitors later in the week. If you want to send greetings and love, please contact the church, or Suzanne or myself before going to see him. For right now the best thing we can do is continue to pray for his complete recovery.
When Suzanne and I left the hospital tonight about 9:00 pm, Steve’s sons and his mother arrived from the Bay Area and are there to support Becky. Becky sends her deep appreciation for all your concern and prayers.
